Development of WASTE HEAT RECOVERY Technology

There have been 4 stages in the development of WHR technology as follows:
  • The first stage was from 1953 to 1989, with the focus on invention, spread and application of the WHRPG technology and equipment on long kilns.
  • The second stage was from 1990 to 1996. During this period, the technical development on additional fuel boiler applications and low temperature WHRPG technology studies on preheater and calcine systems was completed.
  • The third stage is was from 1997 to 2005. At this stage "the technology of medium-low temperature WHRPG from Rotary kilns with additional fuel boilers" and "the technology and equipment of low temperature in kilns" were improoved.
  • The fourth stage was from 2005 to date. The technology of the low temperature WHRPG of cement kiln has matured and already been widely installed around the world.

Two openings in grate cooler allow for the utilization of different categories of energy.

  • Opening 1: At the end section of grate cooler

Large variation range of temperature: 250 °C - 400 °C

  • Opening 2: In the middle section of grate cooler

Narrowed variation range of temperature: 400 °C - 600 ° C
